BOBBY KING
About me
I've worked in the user-centered design field since 2007. I've worked in all the main UX roles: interaction / product design, user research, content design and service design.
I started my career as a data manager in the statistics division of the Scottish Government. I then worked as a researcher and analyst for the Student Loans Company before leaving to become a consultant UX Designer in 2014.
As the UX field has shifted towards leveraging big data and AI I've learned new skills by working with Fintech start-ups and data scientists. I worked as a data analyst for Clydesdale Bank then started the Scottish Fintech meet-up with Sergei Pomphrey.
I recommend founders and product owners use a combination of new tools (such as machine learning and generative AI) with established UX research methods. To me, UX design will always be about people working together, even as the tools we use evolve.
